Starting tomorrow, Muddy Colors will be celebrating DRAGONS!
An excerpt from Historiae Naturalis de Quadrupedibus Libri, by Joannes Jonstonus (1657)
For the next two weeks, every post will center around our most beloved of fantasy creatures. That’s right, an entire fortnight of nothing but dragons! We will be sharing several new dragon paintings, explore dragon anatomy, talk about some of our favorite dragons throughout the years, show how we build dragon maquettes, delve into the science of plausible dragons, and… well, you get the idea.
We also got several special guests lined up, so keep a close eye on the blog… it should be a blast!
I'm working on a dragon job right now so this is great timing!
Dragons! Heck yeah!
OMG OMG 😀 I feel like a school girl that meets The Backstreet boys live haha
And about those special guests…Paul Bonner maybe? :] He definately has some of the coolest dragons right 😛 Can't wait, this is gonna be Epic!
Btw doing such series is a great idea! You should make one on Tolkien based art before they launch the movie. After all he created fantasy as we know it today
Sounds awesome! What a great idea. 😀
This should be a incredible inspiration!
Careful, thar be dragons!
I'm fully expecting WOC for one of these articles. lol
From the title it sounds like the Bruce lee's movie 😀
Cant't wait to see more of this subject one of my favourite truly inspiring
>.<
Ok, I'm gonna steal this idea for MY blog. lol Two weeks of dragons after Dragon*Con… how great is this?? THX guys!
wow that's great!!
Dragonariffic!! Btw, whatever happened to Crit-Submit #4? Just asking.
Yeah, things got crazy around the studio, and I never got around to it. I have a few paintovers in progress, but wonder if they aren't completely moot by now.
I think i'll post them soon anyways.
Sorry about that!
It is the Year of the Dragon so this is perfect!
It's gonna be like shark week, but for the art community and for 2 weeks instead of one.
Dragon fortnight! Eat your heart out Discovery Channel.
Can we get dragon fortnight every year?
