2 thoughts (and both start with the expression: holy crap!)
HC: Am I the first person to see this?
HC: there is about to be a barrage of stuff sent in…(I hope I spelled that right).
Is there sort of like a deadline?
Does the artwork we submit have to be specifically D&D or just similar stylistically?
And do the pieces have to be fully coloured or can they be pencil sketches?
I guess that all depends on how much you want to impress the, now doesn't it?
Nothing set in stone, but the positions won't be open forever.
Sorry if this is a silly question, but these aren't in-house (on location) positions are they?
I may be mistaken, but Jon doesn't mention a “position” so much as he says he's assembling artists for a “project”: WotC always uses a LOT of freelancers from the world over and I suspect this might be the same type of job. The only way to know for sure is to submit your samples and see what happens.
I figured as much, just wanted to make sure before submitting. Thanks.
That's true. I'll have to make an effort to come up with something good.
A rare chance hat I gladly take.

I was wondering if any one could point me to some examples of the kind of work people like this want.
I'm pretty new to the field and am looking for what I should submit.
Any blogs by DnD concept artists would be cool. I know some illustrators, so I'd be curious to see some concept art.
Is this truly legitimate? I don't see a post on his twitter account about this anymore.
Upon further investigation, yes, it is indeed true! I wasn't look at Jon's correct twitter account. (He has several!) He posted this one Facebook as well! I am ecstatic! link: https://www.facebook.com/jon.schindehette/posts/10151223641705098
