Author, Jay Lake, passed away yesterday morning after numerous battles with cancer. He fought long, he fought hard, and though the disease ultimately prevailed, Jay still managed to produce a fantastic body of work in his 49 short years.

Jay was a wonderful writer, whose work was as much poetry to me as it was prose. I am deeply honored to have had a chance to help bring some of his visions to life these past few years.
