There’s so much to learn when you’re slinging paint and pencil, so here’s the eighth installment in my new monthly segment, Muddy Colors: Art Tip of the Month with Jeff Miracola. Each of my short videos will share a handy tip to help you create magnificent art.
My art tip this month is: Constructive Drawing
Constructive drawing is a method of drawing where you start by creating simple, primitive shapes to represent the form you are drawing. In this video, you’ll see how I use constructive drawing to create a drawing of a human figure from my imagination.
Good stuff, thanks for sharing!
I really liked the part about using contour lines to help yourself understand where highlights and shadows goes – can’t wait to try it – thanks!
You are very welcome, Thom. Glad I could inspire 🙂
