Creative pros need focus in order to be good at their jobs. Hours, days, and sometimes even weeks of consistent problem solving are what’s necessary to do brilliant work. When the challenges of real life pop up (a breakup, starting a family, someone close to you falling ill), the personal and professional collide.
Today, we’re talking about creatives relocating. Making a plan, packing up your stuff, and planting roots in a new city, town or even country. And we have two incredible guests here to share their experiences: Christian Sager (writer, podcaster) and Tanna Tucker (cartoonist, comic book artist). Both speak openly and honestly about the pilgrimage from where they were, to where they are now.
Thank you so much for sharing, Swain! I’m actually planning to move to the northeast coast next fall, for many of the reasons highlighted by both artists. Looking forward to the next part in what appears to be a series.
