All of us at Muddy Colors take great pride in calling ourselves educators, and are dedicated to bolstering the next generation of Fantasy Artists. We think that helping aspiring artists succeed is not just about educating them, but also about providing them with opportunities to help them get the exposure they need. In order to help accomplish this, we are proud to announce that we will once again be offering a ‘Muddy Colors: Rising Stars’ Scholarship.

Thanks to the funds raised on our Patreon Page from our readers like you, and from the generosity of Spectrum, Muddy Colors is able to provide a full sized booth at the 2019 Spectrum: Fantastic Art Live which ties into the hugely popular Planet Comic Con in Kansas City. We will be awarding this display space, which are completely SOLD OUT, free of charge to 3 well-deserving artists.

That Artist can be YOU.

You can have your paintings hanging in a professional setting, for tens of thousands of people to see, right alongside other industry professionals… and it won’t cost you a thing! There is no fee to submit, no fee to exhibit, and no commission will be taken should your paintings sell. The only cost to you is getting yourself and your artwork to the convention should you win. You will even get a free exhibitor badge for the whole event. Muddy Colors will also cover the cost of printing promotional materials for each of the winners, so they can better advertise themselves at the show.

Here is how to submit:

All you need to do to apply for the scholarship is fill out this form right here. In this form, you will be asked to provide a link to 4 different pieces of art that you would like submit for consideration. You will also be asked to briefly tell us why you think you’re a deserving candidate. That’s it! After you fill out the form, you will receive a link via email that will allow you to edit your submission as many times as you want.

Rules:
There are really only few stipulations…
1. Submit only once. (You can edit your submission. But if you submit multiple applications, all of your submissions will be discarded.)
2. Make sure the art you link to is in jpg/gif/png format, and between 800-2000 pixels on the longest side.
(If you link us to a PSD, or some ridiculously large file, your entry will be discarded.)
3. Make sure you are capable of covering your own travel expenses to SFAL before applying.
4. You have to be 21 years of age or older to win.

We will stop accepting application at the end of the month, so don’t delay!
