Like many that have been in semi-lockdown thanks to COVID-19, Cathy and I have played couch potatoes and watched TV. A lot. What We Do in the Shadows, The Mandalorian, Wonder Woman 1984, Truth Seekers, and, most recently, WandaVision, have all kept us entertained. We’ve also watched a big batch of interesting documentaries on Amazon Prime, many that we’d never heard of before, among them the excellent American Caricature (see the trailer below). Featuring interviews with a host of wonderful artists—including the-always-engaging C.F. Payne—the movie is capped with a visit to caricature artists convention and the warmth and distinct sense of community reminded me very much of our Fantastic Art Family (and, yeah, made me look forward to the day that we can all safely get back together in person and celebrate everyone’s work and friendships). You can learn much more about the film, the directors Joe Ciomek and Tom Faraci, and how it came about via the official website or you can just hop right over to Amazon Prime and watch.

Thanks for the shout out! Glad you enjoyed the film!
Glad to, Tom! It’s really well done and I think everyone will enjoy it.
Wanted to drop in here to add an update: Since this was published, Amazon had pulled the film from streaming. So we put it up on YouTube! Watch it for free here: https://youtu.be/LW5u5xZ3x_A
