Holy cow, I completed my #d20Dec drawing challenge! (I wanted to see if I could randomly roll 20 monsters on a d20 dice from the 5e Monster Manual, draw and post them on social media- all in the month of Dec. This in addition to my normal work load.) If you caught my preview last month, I had barely started and failed to understand how long it would take! It was down to the wire, doing 5 on New Years Eve! I literally finished the last one 15 min before the ball dropped!
So here we go folks, all 20 drawings in one video! (Ugh I am still exhausted thinking about it.) If you joined in the adventure and rolled and drew your own #d20dec, I thank you. Seeing your posts kept me going.
Those drawings are absolutely inspiring Scott! I love how tight they are from a far but still feel loose and spontaneous when seen up close. Thank you so much for recording the process for us!
I was wondering if you had any advice on how you make these challenges for yourself? Many art challenges require skills I’d like to get but feel like the equivalent of a newcomer going to a gym and just trying only the heaviest weights everyday. I’d love to get better at inking and dragons but the challenges I’ve seen seem to only be for showing off the skills you have instead of being challenges aimed at improving those skills. Any thoughts?
Wonderful work as always!
