LightBox Expo, the premiere gathering of illustrators, concept artists, animators, and all manner of creatives, will be next weekend, Oct. 25—27 in Pasadena, CA. So Karla Ortiz has given everyone a heads-up with an announcement:
“Surprise Art news folks! The amazing Iain McCaig and myself will be joining artistic forces to do our own pop up gallery show in LA next year AND we’ll be giving everyone a first look/behind the scenes at LBX this year! So please come on by, listen to art stories, look at lovely artworks and get inspired to do your own works (heck maybe even your own gallery show!)!”
Not to be outdone, Iain has made the following announcement:
“More Lightbox news! As you may have heard, against all the odds, Mia Araujo and I both finished writing, illustrating and publishing our books this year. We’ll be sharing our adventures with you on Sunday 27th at Lightbox Expo, in the hopes it will inspire you to create your own illustrated dream projects!”
And THEN Mia joined in with her announcement:
“Excited to be returning to Lightbox Expo this year as a presenter! I’ll be moderating a panel on Glaze and Nightshade with these amazing folks on Friday and chatting about storytelling with my friend Iain McCaig on Sunday. Tickets are still on sale, but Saturday and 3-day passes are close to selling out, so be sure to get yours at the Lightbox website. Hope to see you there!”
It’s looking to be a can’t-miss weekend! Hit this link for ticket information.
I love how you capture the essence of each piece. Beautifully written.
