This month is a quick and simple demonstration on how to draw the hands. The first part of the video covers all the technical information you would need to know about the design of a hand, from the skin folds to the measurements and design language of the fingers. The video ends with a quick demonstration studying a hand in Photoshop as a step by step process. I hope you find the video useful for your studies.
I was hoping to make a lengthier video on the illustration process covering different techniques but I have found myself short of time these days. I plan on making a few videos elaborating on finishes very soon. Thank you for watching and leave your comments below the video with questions of any kind art related and I will get back to you with some answers very soon.
Here is the design information I cover in the first part of the video below.
Sweet! Thanks for this particular LemenDrop, Ron. Hands are disobedient bony octopuses–always the devil to draw.
Thank you for this video. I always refer back to your videos and articles frequently. They help so much with illustration. Your explanations make these concepts feel mind-blowingly simple.
For what it’s worth I like shorter videos. It allows me to practice what I learned, and then areturn and learn some more when part 2 comes out. Youtube is so full of content that it’s easy to start a long video and then not return to it, so videos I can finish in 1 sitting are great. Maybe says more about my attention span than anything, but I think a lot of people are the same.
