MoCCA Fest 2024

Once again I will be tabling this weekend, March 15-16, at the forth coming Museum of Comic and Cartoon Art (MoCCA) Festival held in the Metropolitan Pavilion, Manhattan, New York City.  The MoCCA Arts Festival is run by the Society of Illustrators and celebrates comics, narrative arts, and related works.  These past handful of years has seen a packed house at the event, it is always a pleasure to connect with new artists, authors, and shop for newly discovered books while at the con!

I will be sharing recent painted works from Grim Oak Press’ limited edition publications for Tad William’s classic trilogy Memory, Thorn and Sorrow (The Dragonbone Chair series) .

The festival is now into it’s fifth year at the Metropolitan Pavilion which features a large tabled floor populated with ~200 creatives and attended by over 5000 people, programming events run in a nearby venue.  It is a wonderful place to talk with new and established creators and take in a taste of alternative narrative comic arts.  Two years ago the entry lines ran around the block, so save time and get your tickets early online!

I will be hosting a couple of tables (127 & 128) filled with books, drawings, prints, Magic:The Gathering Artist Proofs, monochromed Micro Painted Proofs, and new arts featuring graphite paintings, interior paintings for projects with Grim Oak Press, and card art for Magic: The Gathering.  I will also be set up for card signing, so feel free to bring them in (sorry no alters nor painted proofs).


Cartoonist Bill Plimpton was set up next to me last year at the Festival!
