April 5, 2024 - This painting by Adolf Hirémy-Hirschl has been on my mind quite a bit lately; Souls on the Banks of the Acheron. Sometimes that happens. I'll see a painting and can't get it out of my mind. I'll find myself thinking about it when I go to sleep and then when I wake up, it pops into my head again. It is part of the magic of art, that it can live in your head after viewing it. It becomes more compelling the longer you dwell on it. It often leads me to do more research on the artist.
