Few weeks ago, my kids asked me for some paintings of Cthulhu on the walls of their room. Yes, I know, it sounds a little bit weird but they’re only 6 and 7 years old and the only things they know about H.P Lovecraft’s universe are funny plush toys. So we bought some cardboard sheets and (very cheap) acrylic paintings. Of course, they helped me a lot … and it was fun.
This is the concept done by my son Adam.
Arthur did this one. Don’t ask me about the pizza, I really dunno … They probably misunderstood the meaning of “hunger” in the myth of Cthulhu 🙂
I did the drawings on the cardboard sheets.Â
The cheapest acrylic ever … Probably, the worst quality ever too …
Arthur, strarting to paint Dagon.
Adam, starting to paint Cthulhu.
Dagon, first step …
The 1$ marker pen …
I did the outlines again with it.
I just started to create the volumes. I didn’t have time to finish it yet. I will post the next step of the part 2 🙂
That's great!
great father, congrats
Please keep sharing these, they look great!
Wow great work as an artist and as a father!:D
keep up your work and post updates!;)
This is amazing! I especially love the interpretation of “hunger.”
what is the scale of these and where did you purchase the cardboard?
I'd love to see the in between of the last two images 🙂
This is hilarious, I love it! What a great way to get the kids involved. Looking forward to part two.
These are really cute. What a great way to spend time with your boys. I know mine (who are just a bit older than yours) love to draw with me when I am drawing. 😀
haha so cute and funny
