Nothing special to discuss today except a celebration of diverse, creative approaches to make art.
One of my favorite ways to spend a Friday evening is to jump on the subway up to the Metropolitan Museum of Art here in New York City, and wander through galleries with not particular destination in mind.
It is wonderful to take in art, in all its varied interpretations, and use that as fuel to keep me inspired and trying new solutions to problem solving.
Ps. My apologies for lack of attributions, as I tend to be in the moment taking in the physical objects at the museum and not think of posts like these to be later built.
A timely reminder to leave the cave on occasion. That Boccioni sculpture never gets old. I’m reminded every time I see it how engrossing the art history class was that I took on the Italian Futurists. They were so unique.
I believe this was one of the greatest gifts of my education as an artist, that all forms of artistic expression are valid and hold integrity. It just takes a little extra bit of time and understanding to see the world through the other artist’s lenses.
Thanks, Donato. A good reminder to get myself back to the Met pronto!
