The Society of Illustrators has announced the 2024 inductees into their prestigious Hall of Fame. In recognition for their “distinguished achievement in the art of illustration” the artists are chosen based on their body of work and the significant impact it has made on the field of illustration as a whole. This year’s honorees are Virginia Frances Sterrett [1900 – 1931], Robert Grossman [1940 – 2018], Gustave Doré [1832 – 1883], Yuko Shimizu [b. 1946], Muddy Colors’ own Gregory Manchess [b. 1955], and Steve Brodner [b. 1954].
The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 at the SoI’s historic carriage house headquarters in New York City. Information for how to attend will be available at the Society’s official website.
